For this summer quarter at Drexel, I was lucky enough to take a ‘Fashion in Museums’ course. I have learned a lot about curating, conserving historical garments, museum funding, and more. For our final, our task was to pick a dress from the Drexel archives and to create an object label for it to be shown in an exhibition in the fall. The exhibition theme is centered around green costume and fashion throughout history. I picked a 1950’s evening gown designed by Sarmi for the final, and have had so much fun researching it. I can’t wait for the exhibition!
